I was given these Radatron sensors that are to be mounted on the cylinder head, two on each side. My inquiry is where is the optimal spot? I imagine nearby the exhaust valves of this 1600 engine. I have the switch and gauge installed up front so as to check real time temperature while running the bus.
Has anyone used these? I'd like to place or clip them on the fins with the engine in place.
I am monitoring a '71 bus camper tin top, just obtained, getting ready for summer. |

Fit them as close to the spark plug as you can, do not put them on the exhaust ports. You want to measure the combustion chamber temps not the exhaust temps.
