Hi all:
My van has been fitted with manual window cranks and non- powered mirrors, so I thought it was always manual until I took off the door liners to install sound deadening material.
It has power locks, power windows and power mirrors, at least in theory - all the wiring is in place.
Has anyone ever disconnected ans removed all that stuff before? I don't want to bring the power stuff back to life and I'd like to remove the rattling hardware and wires as part of my sound deadening efforts.
Appreciate any input!

Sure, you can remove that stuff. If you don't need it for a future reinstall you could list it in the classifieds and get some cash for another project. :D |

I would leave it in place unless you want to mess with rerunning your speaker wires, they are in that loom. |

It is a rat's nest of wires. I did find that I can disconnect the wires at the body and leave the connectors for future reconnection. I'm replacing my speaker wires anyway. Thanks. |
