Anyone ever heard of this stuff? seems like the applications for a car would be awesome - Vert tops, chassis, Top coat. seems like ice wouldn't stick to it. maybe someone has used it??

here's a video

Looks interesting. But did they really need to empty the entire cement truck to prove this stuff works. If the first gallon doesn't stick, then why would the next 5,000 gallons do any different?

Because it makes a good video?

This stuff is great but it has a few drawbacks.

1) it's not UV stable, so it will lose effectiveness eventually in sunlight.
2) It's not mechanically stable. Flexing will cause it to eventually flake/peel off
3) it isn't 100% clear. It's mostly clear but it has a v.slight misting/fogging effect. Mostly minimal but it's there.

That said - for what it is it is great stuff. I think it is useful as a replacement for things like Waxoil and such tbh - places where it won't be exposed or wear off and can be periodically retouched when required (like Waxoil)

Well put. We used a bit of this in an industrial application (on converting system rollers).

Its a mess to apply, difficult to apply evenly...has all of the weaknesses you listed ...is quite toxic ...air quality wise...to work with and also can destroy certain types of plastics and finishes.

Nifty product...limited practicality. Ray
