| I would have to agree that it's not very attractive. However, in my Ghia travels I have found out that there was an item just like that that came from the factory. Something like every 2000th ghia got one? Well, I don't remember exactly how the story goes. I've seen a few of them and they are original equipment (not sure if the one in the picture is or not). Someone was selling one at Bugout last year for $500 :shock: . I can think of better things to spend that kind of money on. |

| I don't think that front was ever on a factory car. I remember those being sold in the early 70's as a way of not having to fix a dented nose. Almost all the Ghia's out there have been backed into and the bridge of the nose gets bent. It was alot cheaper to cut a hole and insert that grill instead of trying to fix the nose. |

That sounds reasonable. The ones I have seen bolt to the nose. No cutting required. The story about them being put on at the factory is second hand from someone who's supposed to know their stuff. Come to think of it, he also said that formula vee rims came on every so many Ghia's too. :roll:
