| Does anyone make one that fits the stock floor pan? |

Yeah, stock VW pedals...
Not trying to be a smart ass.
But I have never encountered any other pedals that fit the stock pan. without cutting through the Napoleon's hat.
That pedal assembly shown above is fine, but doesn't include master cylinders. You will need 3, 2 for the brakes and 1 for clutch and you still need a slave cylinder for the clutch.
This pedal assembly is for the brakes only with 2 master cylinders and an adjustable balance bar:
https://www.amazon.com/16-2532-0-Single-Pedal-Asse...mp;sr=1-26
This has 7/8" masters. You can get them with any size master needed, but you might have to buy them from a buggy supply direct, instead of through Amazon.
Then you would need clutch and throttle pedals:
But it comes to me as I write this...
We haven't seen what you have for pedals... |

| Oh, and BTW, regarding that bias adjuster knob, there are a few brands of those and they are ALL universal. Any pedal assembly with a 2-master brake can use any one of those knob units. I put a Tilton one in a Corvette road race car about 30 years ago and it worked great. |

Thats why I love this forum. Those of you have been doing this for 30 years around to help those of us who have been working on it for three. |

I wouldn't say they're all universal - but most of them come with adaptors to fit common 3/8 and 7/16 UNF bars.
There are a lot of bars on modern AP, Fouquet, etc, units that are much larger, metric threaded hollow bars to make them lighter and stiffer but I don't think you'll be looking at any of those on a budget anyway. |

Yeah Phillip. I'm aware of more high-end stuff, but I'm not sending Samba guys chasing that kind of $$$. I'm trying to keep him guided into readily available, relatively low cost, yet good quality stuff. I've been around race cars all my life, but I'm aware that not every car is an F1 and most on here don't have Le Mans Prototype budgets either.
What one can find online these days from sources like China may be another story.
But if it's CNC (yeah, I know Chuck retired and closed it up) his brother's brand Neal, Jamar, Tilton, etc., then they will most likely have 3/8NF thread.
A friend of mine bought a then old single seat race buggy back in the early 2000s and I wound up storing it for him in my back yard for some time. It was originally built in the early 70s with an 88" wheelbase. Raced until about 1990, it got stretched to about 110" wb. Lots of suspension upgrades over the years. But it still had the same brake pedal setup it had when I 1st Tech Inspected it back in about 1973. Dual VW master cylinders from different models. Brake pedal on home made brackets welded to the frame. Single brake pedal on an arm made of steel bar with a VW pedal pad cut from the stock pedals. With a piece of 3/8" ID tube welded across the pedal arm and the bolt in that pushed clevises on both push rods. Reservoirs for the 2 masters were all metal Castrol brake fluid cans with a tube soldered into the bottom of each, and hung on a piece of 3/4x1/8" bar stock off the overhead front diagonal bars with hose clamps. Crude. But the car raced that way for many years and while it was not famous, it was out there racing and won an occasional trophy for the owners. These things CAN be done economically. |

The instructions with my wilwood pedal set say you can use a couple feet of 3/8ths rubber tubing jammed over the end of the bias bar to make a temporary bias bar adjustment mechanism while you get it tuned in.
I actually really like the instructions. They have great tips like
"If you don't know what you are doing, find someone who does to install this for you"
But no progress currently as I'm working on another kind of flat four engine at the moment and having no fun at all with it

Yea, that was more my point, find an old used set for sale from a racecar and it might turn out to be metric randomly, same as the china import pedals. Most are all the same size but there's some odd 'uns around. |

| Can anyone suggest a proportioning valve that is good for a rail. I'm still building, so I don't really know what the weight and bias will look like. |
