How can you post such erroneous stuff when you don't even possess common vanagon knowledge?
Yea, the camper stuff is all in front of the back window, I can't, don't believe you have missed this, don't know this being of the automotive expert status you often falsify.
thanks for clarifing that, thought it was behind the back window.
please expalin the double negative: " I can't, don't believe...." I regretably don't posses your common knowledge of these double negative things. You are one very cunning linguist indeed. |

Early campers:
Late campers:
A lot of us late camper owners have removed ^that duct/plenum to get more air flowing up front.

**Do NOT rehash the plenum vs. no-plenum argument in this thread!! Go to the plenum topic for that!**
perfect, thanks for the photos, now I know what Dave is trying to work around.
Dave a suggestion, maybe you could run copper pipes under the van for the supply and return, add short hoses on either end for hook up. the copper will last just about forever, no more leaks along that section caused by aged rubber hoses. |

Thanks for that suggestion and it is a viable one but I am using the newest style EATON hoses designed for the next generation of refrigeration soon to me mandated by Big Brother.
The rubber refrigerant hose and the EZ Clip fittings are already ordered. I haven't any fear of it decomposing in my life time!
The rubber hose provides a degree of insulation to the refrigerant as it travels the length of the Van.

Just finishing up my coffee and off to see my demanding and high maintenance summer "mistresses"..... My five swimming pools. 🤑

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I have to ask. How the HELL does your dash look like that? I don't think it looked that good on the day it rolled out of the plant?
Tell me please. Mine looks terrible.

No..... task has stalled.
We purchased a retirement home about a year ago that we've been rebuilding. The house makes the money and time demands of a Westy look tame!!
