The wipers stopped working in my project bus a while back, I figured it was the linkage. I pulled the motor and linkage a few days ago and reattached the passenger side arm back to the motor and tested it with a battery while it was out and it seemed to work good. I put it back in and nothing happened, I tested continuity through the switch and the ground wire on the motor. I then took the battery back out and ran the positive side into number 30 on the switch (power) and negative off of the motor ground. The switch did its job and the motor made sounds but the wiper arms didn't move. (They move freely by themselves though). Any help on what to test next or any ideas?

After pulling it again (and actually taking it all apart and putting it back together) that it spins with a lot of hesitation and wants to bind. If I help it spin it seems to do fine.

When you say it wants to bind, are you talking about the motor or the linkage? I've had trouble with the spindles binding a couple of times, they can occasionally be a bit of a bear to service or replace - but they'd always be the first place I'd look.

If the linkage that the wiper arms go on is not rusted.
