Hi Guys,

For 2 months I'm the lucky owner of a barndoor '54. I bought the car from someone in California, and I'm expecting the bus to arrive in the beginning of November. I live in the netherlands.

I immediately paid for a "stiftung Automuseum Volkswagen"certificate (birth certificate) and I received it today!

As you can imagine i'm trying to find as much as informations and/or old photo's of this car. On the birth certificate states that the bus first is shipped to Volkwagen dealer Gloeckler (Glöckler), Frankfurt - Germany

I'm trying to find some information about this dealer so I can contact them. Maybe they have some information left.

Is there anyone who knows more about this dealer? If I google I find some info about a "walter" or "otto" who made racecars built on porsches designs, but I don't know if this was the same VW dealer. I can also find nothing more about them.

I also have e '57 PGSG and waited for 7 months for a birth certificate. When I ordered a second birth certificate 4/5 weeks ago for the barndoor, I mailed how long it would take to get the certificate for the '57 PGSG. they mailed me back they would ship both certificates in October.

The time to get the certificate is 8 Months now!
