| I have a 59 beetle. Been running fine all summer but recently as I was putting it in storage for the winter I couldn't get the car into reverse gear. All other gears work fine. The cupping under the inspection plate looks fine. Any other thoughts? |

| Have you removed the shifter and inspected the shifter plate? And while there, inspect the shift rod bushing and bracket to make sure it hasn't broken? |
