With the rain coming down and the intake off for cleaning and maintenance, I thought I would make some phenolic spacers. They came out great but man does phenolic put out some serious dust! Wear a mask . . .

Won't those put your throttle body to high? Or do you have enough clearance? Purpose of these being to keep the intake runners cooler, colder combustion air?

Pardon my question, but why spacers? Are you gonna inject LPG through them?

Where do you find affordable sheets of that stuff?

The spacers keep the intake charge much cooler resulting in better efficiency and power. In my syncro, I have the clearance (just 9mm higher) to clear the deck lid. I purchased a 12x12 piece at Interstate Plastics for 20.00. GrimmSpeed sells them for I believe about 80.00 . . .

I have a set of these for my SVX H6, that i still need to put on. I got them for a different reason, there is a whole bunch of stuff under the manifold on an H6. The vacuum lines and all of the little plastic valves that are NLA are kept much cooler with the Phenolic spacers. It also makes getting to the parts much easier if they need replaced rather than pulling the manifold.
