Is there a source to find the vent seals for a Piano hinged vent wing? I just looked thru some of the restoration threads and have not seen any installed? it looks like it may almost be like cargo door seals? but I wouldn't think it would be that?

I had to make mine.. I think i used cargo door seals ? But dont quote me on that..

Ya, the channel looks like cargo door seals will fit, but on the vertical post on the back main frame of vent, non vent frame side looks like it has holes for a rubber flap seal of some sort. if that makes since. I guess black cargo door seals wouldn't look too bad.

Does anybody have more recommendations?
I tried door seals. They seemed too wide and tall. Made the vent wing almost impossible to latch closed.

Looking at the suicide vent wing pictures, you can see the seal wraps around the channel and looks like rubber.

I've used cargo door rubber before but it's a PITA. You'll need to trim the back away to make in thinner. I can post pics and measurements of original seals if that would help?

The suicide window seal is something totally different.

I found a couple pics when I had to do it...

Thanks for the info and pic, that’s exactly what I needed to know.

I was thinking of cutting down a ghia deck lid seal yesterday.

Here are a few pictures of some NOS vent window seals. I can post some measurement over the weekend as well. Let me know if need more pics.

Here are some photo's of the vent window seals showing the measurements.
The long and short pieces are the same height and width.
The piece that goes at the back of the widow frame has a slight angle to it so the glass can close properly. You can see the angle in a couple of the photo's. Let me knows if I can provide any additional information or details.
