Did some upgrades:
Took out the external ignition switch and installed a working OG one!
Installed a red needle Tacho!
Found the missing door trim piece and installed it!

After finding a set of NOS Side markers on German Flea Bay! I installed them today along side the rocker trim I got from T3HQ!
A step closer to where I want her to be!!!

| you can fix the arm rests with some gorilla glue, contact cement, and some 4 way stretch vinyl. |

The car received some more love!
As a christmas present I gave her :
NOS Exhaust and NOS heater boxes (yeah finally heat in the car)
NOS upper and lower ball joints and steering knuckles front suspension sorted!
NOS Sunvisors
Got the fog lights hooked up so they actually work!
Installed new bushings on the shifter!
Next on the list is a dual carb upgrade (OG rebuild set so it's period correct)
Found for future resto a NOS RH rear fender and a as good as new LH rear fender! |

As it was a sunny day I took the square out for a ride to get my air cooled Fix! Love the heat in the car (still smelly and when I open up the front quarter window I get exhaust fumes) but with the windows closed it is not that bad! Got a new rear hatch seal maybe thats where the exhaust fumes come thru!

Installed new rear hatch rubber, engine lid seal and the seal that closes the interior in the rear to get rid of the exhaust fumes! What a difference!!!!
Also installed a german square weave carpet to preserve the brittle grey rubber cargomat!

It was made like this before me!
I'm scoring all the parts for a resto and then it will be repainted in the OG color!
It's not on my priority list right now as I'm having way too much fun with it right now! Maybe a roll on paint job for the meantime! |

Gotta love an early PBD Squareback in its original colors! Great work you've done so far. Don't pull it apart for a full resto, as it'll take too long to get it back together again. Drive it, enjoy it, and continue to work on the little items to make it more complete.

I sold the car and it now is in Swiss hands! The new owner started the resto!
I now have a 62 Notch that I just couldn’t pass up on! |
