I'm contemplating converting a 2 wheel drive Doka to a Syncro Doka. I have a compete donor van. The main thing that comes up is the location of the gas filler. The 2 wheel drive Doka has louvers where the filler goes. I'm wondering if it would be possible to use the tank from the van and locate the filler in the same area of the body where it would be on the van. I don't have the Doka in front of me so I can't physically look at it. Also, I'd like to hear any other things that I should consider.

Thanks

Paul from german motorworks converted his single cab from 2wd to syncro, might be worth looking in his galley for images. His user name is VWhead.

This guy did it. On a south african vw double cab, right hand drive, 2wd to 4wd.
IIRC Gordon Graig died of cancer years ago. RIP.

Thanks

I know Paul and I am talking with him via email right now. Sounds pretty doable.
