Feel like the backing plate and seal are from different periods. Yes I know I forgot to install the bushing/seal/thing!!! |

Forgot to mention there was no oil deflector like in a 64, but the backing plate seems to be from a 64? the oil seal cover seems to be from a 65. Cover has a weap hole, but there is no hole in the backing plate |

Looks like 58-64 backing plates.. (no upper shoe boss) with a 65-67 shrouded bearing cap.
Use 58-64 straight adjusters, 58-64 cylinders, 58-64 shoes and drill the weep hole in the backing plate..
or
Use 65-67 angled adjusters, 58-64 cylinders, 65-67 shoes and drill the weep hole in the backing plate.
The shrouded cap design is better.. but it needs the hole.

'58-'64 backing plate. I don't recommend the trick of using later shoes and adjusters with the older wheel cylinders because the '65 up backing plates have shoe bosses at both the wheel cylinder and the adjusters. The narrow slotted wheel cylinders and adjusters are what locate the ends of the shoe on these older brakes. |
