| From previous posts and my own experience, turning the ignition key to on cycles the fuel pump for ~1 sec. Can anyone confirm definitively that this should always happen, no matter how many times you operate the key? Or does the pump have an internal pressure switch that would keep it from cycling, if it already has back pressure? |

Should always happen, irrespective of any residual pressure.
The ECU causes it to run and shut off, pressure is not a factor.
Now we wait to see if anyone corrects me. |
