I have looked over both the technical section here and the color section on Wolfsburg west's site.

This is what I have gathered:

Paint: L436 Indigo Blue
Wheel Center: L437 White Blue
Wheel Outer: L438 Rim Blue
Upholstery: Water Blue
Headliner: Light Grey
Door panel: Water Blue or Steel Grey
Sunroof Top: Indigo Blue
Carpet: Anthracite Grey
Armrest: Steel Grey
Assist strap: light Grey
Floor Mat: ??
Steering wheel color: ??
Gear shift and brake lever color: ?
Seat frame color: ?
Steering column tube color: ?
Grab handle color: ?

Here's a photo I grabbed off the internet.

White steering wheel,
Black mats,
White column,
White gearshift and brake lever,
White frames,
And I don't think 1960 models had grab handles.

That's a good start. Wish I could see the column better.

Is that white or Silver beige?

I would assume silver beige.

Here's a few photos where you can see the column and shifter better.

GREAT INFO GUYS! Thank you! Both of those bugs posted have different steering wheels. Which is the correct one? The half circle horn bar or the straight one?

AlteWagen Mon Sep 19, 2016 8:14 pm

straight one is just broken

Crap. Looks like I will need to get a new steering wheel.

Sharp64 Tue Sep 20, 2016 12:27 pm

Check the classifieds for a horn rings.

AlteWagen Tue Sep 20, 2016 6:12 pm

Just remember that correct horn mechanisms are 60-61 only

Oh yeah I remember, I just sold a 61 vert. PITA horn. I kind of want to just yank the whole column and do it like every other bug, but I doubt my OCD will allow me to.

2000 mile car that's come up for auction in Sweden. Makes for a great color reference!

God I love that interior.

My daughters Indigo ragtop had the stripped wool interior. I found a source for it in Germany, so for the mere price of $165 a square meter....feast your eyes....

It is an exact match. Must be the OEM supplier...amazing.

How many meters is it going to take to do the whole interior?

I bought 4, should be plenty. I did my sons with 8yds of vinyl, so the plan was 4 of this and 4 of the blue
