OMG. Did this yesterday and I never want to have to do this again.
I had heard it was a nasty job but nothing prepared me for the full horror.
Those inner scrapers are a pig.
Anyway... I kinda got there.
Passenger side went in perfect.
On the passenger side the trim lined up nice with the post and the screws for the post...
So all good there... very pleased even though my fingers were bleeding and sore.
but... drivers side I feel there might be an issue... the trim is longer on this side and covers the holes for the post fitment...
Comparing it with the OG trim, it seems to be the same length exactly on the outside, but the OG is trimmed more on the inside...
So... my question is... has anyone else experienced this with new trims? Did you just cut away the inner part and go with it knowing that the passenger side was shorter and looks different... are they all like this???
I really don't want to take it all off again!!! |

I used WW's when I did mine and did not have to notch anything. Perfect fit.
Who's scrapers are you using?
PS: if you think your fingers are sore now? Just wait until you push in the Vent rubbers... |

ok... so all in and fixed. and looks pretty good i think.
and the vent seals went in really easy.
I watched the various youtube clips and thought to myself that the screwdriver wrapped in masking tape shoving the seal in didn't look right... for sure that isn't how the factory did it...
with plenty of lube I just slid the seal around the track starting at the latch gap and pushed it all the way round to the top... it was pretty easy really. |
