License plate BN 59-324 and at right on this picture BN 59-336

And this last photo, found in a magazine of 1960, But I think it was made during the presentation at the kasino hotel 14 july 1955

Inside the Kasino, Gazelle beige coupe up on the stage. A scene that was recreated for the 50th anniversary meeting at the same location..

It seems, that the green lizard color has been very appreciated by the press

On this pic the one on the right, what is the color of the body. It is trout blue ?

What is the color of the car in the forefront ?

And right on the photo below, a karmann that could be black

The exposed colors appear to be Lezard green, several Gazelle Beige (4), trout blue, black ?, ......

The bottom picture above ^ appears to be too dark for Trout blue? Need some colour shots from this launch :D (note the lack of Karmann Ghia script on the decklid)

Other colours appear to be Gazelle beige,Black,,Lizard green and Antelope brown

Another early promotional shot without the decklid script...

Probably one of the beige Ghias from the 4-car line-up at the premiere. Driver seems to be one of the women from the first batch of photos- another journalist? Short dark hair, either the bracelet midway down her right arm, or the end of the blouse's sleeve.

Great to see these images once again (some I haven't seen before) from this momentous day!

It would be interesting to see what the Kasino Hotel looks like today. Does anyone have pictures from the actual site of where these Ghias were parked? Is it still an active hotel?

Kasino Hotel Georgsmarienhutte

Below the entrance of the casino

Below the side or was exposed the Karmann Ghia 14 july 1955

Ah, very cool to see the pictures of how the hotel looks today. It would very interesting to see if a group of lowlight owners could ask the hotel if they could recreate the same scene with their cars like it happened 60 + years ago!

The 50th anniversary meeting in 2005 was held in Georgsmarienhutte, plenty of Ghias parked up at the Kasino.

Me and my old '59 out the front, great show, would love it if another was held there.

I believe some German Ghia owners meet there on the 14th July most years..

Hey!! Now that is cool! Thanks for posting. I take it the hotel did not allow parking out back on the patio as they did in 1955? Anyone else with pictures from the 50th anniversary gathering at the hotel?

I think it's been slightly remodelled out the back, big patio/seating area so you can't get many cars around there.

There's plenty of pictures of the 50th meet, will try and dig some out later..

I could never have any certainty about the month the script started

Body number 117 has the decklid script
Body number 250 has the decklid script
Body number 319 hasn't the decklid script
Body number 327 has the decklid script
Body number 494 hasn't the decklid script
Body number 1066 has the decklid script
Body number 1786 has the decklid script
