I just bought a 1987 Westfalia and it has a large sunroof over the driver/passenger seats. It's wonderful! But I think at one point it had to have had a detachable cover. Does anyone know? The sunroof is "open" all the time and it gets quite hot when the sun is overhead. There are three small brackets along the front and back of it so something must have been there. It is also recessed, so the space catches lots of leaves, and other debris and isn't easy to keep clean. Would appreciate any insights from experienced vanners. |

It sounds like maybe someone removed the luggage rack and cut a hole for an aftermarket sunroof. You might want to post some pictures.
You might be able to locate a fang spoiler like this from a European Atlantic model to cover the front of the pop top and still use the sunroof.
