Hi I'm working on restoring a 1973 bay window. I was able to find a running 1600 engine for it yet the engine itself has a series number that states it's an automatic engine. My question is, can I use this engine with a manual transmission?
I didn't realize it was an automatic engine until I had finished putting it in on the bus already. |

The flywheel and oil pump are the major differences, it may not have mustache bar mounts on the case.
Did you shorten the input shaft on the transmission before installation?, what are you using for tin? |
