Well, not really. I don't know where the aircooled VIN info came from either. But there is some info here including a table with all the chassis numbers: https://www.coolairvw.co.uk/vw-info/t3-t25/chassis-codes/
And some Vanagon sites have various decoder info as well which explains the other parts of the VIN number. This info may only apply to the European and USA VIN's. I think the Vanagon was made into the 2000's in South Africa. |
