Just ignore my stupid goofy ass talkin' to myself :? I didn't have time to edit myself out or add music over it.

Anyhow, here is a little clip that has the sound of my engine/sidewinder. The engine literally has about "2" miles on it. It's a 2110 with 48 idf's, wedgeports (44x37), engle 120 with straight cuts, pauter 1.3's, and 1 5/8 sidewinder without heater boxes. Hope it gives a decent idea of sidewinder/magnaflow sound. Cruizin this to bugorama from Washington this year...mayden voyage (after sitting in Sacramento for probably 25 yrs, mixedup59 and I bombed down and brought it back to the NW to give it a make over).

Enjoy.....

Yeah, I'm fairly low, the tip is maybe a couple inches off the ground (2 notches in the rear with a straight axle kit and 195/50's) so it's going to scrape. I'm near seattle (rain) so I haven't really driven since putting the engine in, only a couple test runs. Love it slammed, but might have to go up a notch or get some bigger rear tires for practicality. Planning to roll to bugorama in may, so hopefully will have it dialed in properly for the trip. The nice thing is I can be pretty low and the exhaust has a nice tuck up underneath. A 'lil scrapin' ain't never hurt nobody  (now I'll end up ripping the exahaust off for saying that)

Go with 195/60's in the rear. I little taller with a bit more RPM on the freeway.

I got a buddy making me an exhaust for my 63 an the tip will exit in front of the rear tyre. I told him cuz I am so low that I need the clearance. I have faith that he will get it right.

I think with that tip you have I would be breaking it.

BTW Nice bus !!! An thank for the vid !!! Sounds good !!!

You got me excited to see my finished product !!!

Sounds nice, almost stock sounding at idle. What compression are you running???

a-train Wed Mar 08, 2006 4:35 pm

8 to 1 compression.

Awesome sound... I love V-Dubs that sound like V8's or at least keep fellow motorists guessing "whats in there"
