Anyone ever tried this?

http://www.cosmolinedirect.com/cosmoline-rust-veto-342-industrial-grade/

I was reading an article about a Porsche with 6 miles that was "oiled" with it back in the factory, so i was wondering how good/bad it would be to protect rust versus, say Blue Magic TR3 wax...

I could think of some productive ways to use it. I see some good and some notso good.

Surface Coverage = approx. 400 square feet/gal at 2.0 mil-thickness
Vastly easier to remove than older formulations.
Protects indoors for 36+ months. Protects outdoors for 18+ months

Seems like it would be good to temporarily protect parts or panels prior to paint, while you are prepping other parts. Stuff you are not ready to paint or prime.
On the flip side its expensive and 100 sqft coverage per quart, doesnt go far.

The TR3 stuff is just car wax right? Not really comparable, 2 different products. The cosmoline isnt for car exterior paint, more of an undercoating to protect against rust. Or to protect those NOS brake drums in the back of the garage.

yeah TR3 might not be the good comparison... But i think the resin glaze polish, at least from its description, is more than just wax...
