Look inside for bolt interference with the arm. |

The arms are attached to the housing with two Allen key nuts on each arm.
You can try loosening, repositioning inward and outward to see which direction either side needs to go. You'll need to extend the canopy all the way as you try and tighten well when done. Might take you 1/2 hour. Pay attention to what your adjustments are doing. Mark the sweet spot with a Sharpie inside the housing in case it happens again.
That worked for me, anyway. |

Is the front in and the back sticking out or is the whole awning sticking out a little?
If it's out just in the back, have you tried completely deploying it and making sure it rolls in evenly? I've had this issue before.
If it's out consistently front to back, make sure there is nothing rolled into the awning or as another poster pointed out, interference with one of the legs or other parts of the awning. (I had a friend complain that his awning wouldn't close and we found a screwdriver rolled into it. :D )
If it was working fine, just before this, I would look at all these possibilities before I started adjusting things.....

The Fiamma on our Casita Trailer rolls in differently almost every time. Fiamma could have provided more clearance instead of it having to be nat-ass right on each time you roll it. Thats the reason they sell extra straps to hold it closed, because trying to get both ends to drop into the locks is virtually impossible. |

Mine wouldn't retract at the end of camping trip this weekend, ended up taking it apart and tying it off. Very interested in how to adjust/fix this. New awning, in/out not even ten times! For the ridiculous price, I expect better. |

Have you had the awning for awhile or did you just install it? If it's new then check the legs are getting properly tucked into the channel. The top of the legs near each end should "fold" into the channel. Mine take a little push and they almost click into place. |

Legs tucked in correctly, can't retract the awning one inch. |

mine did what yours did the first time I used it, problem was I did not put the legs in right. Let us know how it works out. |

Ding ding ding. I suck. Take my Westy card. Took a quick look bf work and had the feet the wrong way and weren't flush. Both sides. Flipped em in flush and was able to reduce the gap by half but still have some slop. Will try a careful deploy reroll this weekend. I've had the awning for a while but was never like that. I've got a nice fat zip tie holding it in for now. |

Also a good idea to make sure the case (part mounted to the van) is perfectly straight. The rain gutter has a slight curve to it along the length of the van that can affect how straight the awning case is, depending on the length of the awning. |

In this case only if you use 3 brackets, I made spacers on mine to account for that. I pulled a string, I measured 4mm difference, but I think it is more, as the wind was blowing rather hard that day onto the string. I can see by eye there's still a bit of curvature into the awning. |

Update: I carefully re-assembled the Fiamma, and now works fine. No idea why it took the day off, found nothing wrong. |

Ours went out of adjustment and the rear protruded like yours. Search for 'adjust Fiamma awning'. |

Wolfram,
Took your advice, and got a lot of useful information. Printed it out, and saved it to my Westfalia looseleaf manual. |

I was cleaning my awning and found why it wouldn't close. The supplied mounting bolts are poor quality, and the head broke off one and jammed things up. Never would have discovered it, except by accident, I was using compressed air to dry things, and it moved. |
