We (E. & son, maybe dog-in Eurovan camper) were thinking of joining the Festival Friday late afternoon thru Sunday early morning to bridge between my son's two weeks of away camps. Depends on a few possible schedule changes, so won't know until that week.

For those that have been: Do people attend only part of the week? Would there still be campsites available that late in the week? Would there still be activities to meet and greet, since we would not know anyone?

Yes to all of your questions. It may be crowded. It's so large some years that your neighbors will be your meet and greet. There is an open field, a primitive area, and an overflow area. There is usually is a band on Saturday night. People get there as much as two weeks early and some stay after. It is a great place to camp. It can be cliquish, just find another spot if you do not feel warmly greeted. Getting there early on Friday would be good. Bicycles are good because the campground is very long. Canoes, kayaks, and inner tubes are a plus as well. The campground staff deliver firewood and ice to the campers. Check out the You Tube videos.
