My drivers side door hinge at the bottom is loose where it attaches to the door when I went to tighten the screws one of them just keeps spinning, before I start taking things apart what is the screw attaching to inside the door.
Does anyone have an exploded view
Thanks

If you are talking the door side Id bet you can just take your door cards off and get a nut and bolt in there if it is spinning. If its the car side it might be a bit harder to get it in there.
I am not sure if there exists an exploded view (im sure there is I just couldnt locate it)
But if you search goog for keywords like "vw beetle door hinge" and "VW beetle door hinge exploded view" You might be able to see a few angles and figure it out.

I actually just took my passenger door off at the hinges, and the door side of the hinge is riveted to the door frame. Mine's a 74 super so maybe they attached differently on your older car. |

So there's probably a nut plate on the inside of your door that the screws screw into. Threads probably stripped on the one that spins. You might be able to get a nut on the threads of the spinning one that protrude out of the back of the nut plate. Remove your door card for access. |
