When I see the part list of january 57 of lowlight karmann ghia we have two parts for the wiper arms
145 955 432 for the right one with a letter stamped on it (letter R)
145 955 432 for the left side but no letter or R letter stamped on it
I don't know if left arm had a letter L stamped on it or no letter. |

| Just ran out and checked my 57, no letters on either... both are SWF wiper arms. |

This is not restricted to just lowlights. Later Ghias have left and right wiper arms. My '66 has "L" and "R" marked on them. SWF original and AFAIK the same part number as you've shown.

| The wiper bases are the same on the early style wiper arms. The difference is in the rods that the wiper blades are attached to. Each side has a slightly different bend (an possibly length?), so there is a left and right side. |

I stand corrected. There is only a R marked on one of them and the other is unmarked. I must have been thinking of something else. Ooops.
