Hello everyone, I got a new ATE master cylinder for my 71 camper
Part Number: 211-611-021AA, Interchange Part Number 006091, A2C83439300. My questions is that my old master cylinder does not have a threaded opening on the end (second pic) like the new one does. Will this new master cylinder work on my 71? Thanks for the help.

If it has
2 holes for the fluid reservoir
2 holes on the side for the front & rear brake lines
2 holes on the opposite side of the brake lines for the brake light switches.
It will work.

It should have come with a plug to plug the hole on the end.

Here is what a 211 611 021AA looks like.

Good luck

Tcash thank you for the information, I will dig deep inside the box and see if I find the plug. Do you know if I will need to use a newer style reservoir for the fluid? Thanks again for sharing that info with me.

You will have to measure spacing, center to center.

These seem to be genuine ATE (Brazil) master cylinders. They are obviously not exactly the same design as the
original ATE German M/C's, and there will have to be adjustments made, perhaps in this case just providing a plug
for the extra 5th hole.

This eBay ad claims this $80. M/C is exactly the same as the $200. ATE M/C being sold by CIP1 and BusDepot:

An illuminating fact, if true.

I have that same one installed. Didn't require any modifications and haven't had any problems with it.

It doesn't come with a plug for the rear. I used a hex head bolt to plug it. It's the same threading as the brake line and switches.

I gave mine a few coats of caliper paint to hopefully keep the rust away.

I got mine on ebay for $149 shipped. They no longer seem to be available on ebay, but someone is selling at least one here on the classifieds for $125.

BusDepot also carrying ATE MCs for $179, but they look OG.
