I just completed an LED light strip install in my 1978 Westfalia. I ran a strip on each side and the best part is, the kit came with remote. Also, these are RGB LEDs so they can be set to any color, as well as cycle or fade through them all. They light up the cabin very well!
The kit I used: Litake LED Light Strip 16.4ft Waterproof 5050 LED Tape Light
I cut the strip to length to each side and used some connectors and wire in order to tie them together. The wire is run in the back behind the headbanger cabinet. Finally, I secured them with mounting brackets.
