anybody have a photo of underneath their type 3? I need to see what the seam between the bottom of the door threshold and the pan itself. Should there be a gap there where you can see the heater channels?
Just wondering before I do anything stupid |

Thanks but I'm looking for more of a direct shot from under the car.
This is a photo directly beneath my door sill (threshold). There is a half inch gap between the painted door sill and the floor pan shoulder. I'm wondering if this should be open like this or is it a faulty sill repair.

The rocker/heater channel is multiple layers of sheet metal. That does not look like a good repair, IMO.
I couldn't get a clear shot of the underside of my car but here's what I got:
