Rule #1, Don't throw anything away.
Rule #2. If you decide you don't want to use it Give It Away here.
We can post ghia items here that you would like to forward on to another owner who can use your part.
1. Post just one item per post
2. The only $$ that changes hands is for shipping said item.
3.Once item is forwarded, delete it. Might need a Moderator to remove it...PM them.
Lets see if we can clear our garages and help others at the same time.
****************
(Moderator edit)
Here's how this thread works:
1) Post a list of parts you would like to give away for free (or for cost of shipping).
2) If you want any of the listed parts, send the "seller" a PM (private message).
3) Once you've parted-it-forward, please edit your post with GONE! at the top; if you have multiple items, place a GONE!=> in front of the part(s) you've given away. If it's too late, too hard or too “whatever” to edit your post, please PM a moderator to do it for you.
Please keep pointless banter out of this thread, this includes "thanks!" replies. Any posts not listing parts up for grabs will be removed.
Good manners would say …
1-You may NOT receive an item and then sell it for monetary gain.
2- If you don’t use it then give it back, or post it here it again. Don't be that guy.
3-You may NOT request any items. Use a WTB classified for that. Either it comes up or it doesn't.
4-Post your location with the item details
5-Your status remains as first come, first served. |

Moderators Note:
As I was telling Darrel we had one of these topics before but it stalled. It was in the Stickies but as all seasoned forum peeps know...if you want a topic ignored, put it in the Stickies. ;) Because of that this topic will "float" in the normal forum. If you see it drifting towards the bottom of Page1 feel free to "bump" it to the top. :) |

I like this idea. I’ll be posting some stuff too.
Great! This tread might just be the thing!
but if we all could please....

If you missed that, its from what's been added to the first post as guidelines for this thread and was taken from other similar threads on the Samba but made better for our Ghia sensibilities
Thanks Y'all

Emerald Green L-514 touch up paint.
A spray can mixed by Automotive Touchup.
I spent almost $30 for this can to see if it IS the color we want to paint the Convertible, but alas, it is not what we expected.
Almost full, I only sprayed that test patch.
I'll probably end up throwing it away eventually, but I'd rather give it away to a good home if someone wants it.
Base coat only.
Just pay shipping.

That really is a generous offering you are making. I think you will be a motivating factor in this thread.

This thread seems to be working well, but please, a reminder to keep on topic. The guide lines are in the first two entries are meant to be help this remaining a useful exercise.
“Please keep pointless banter out of this thread, this includes "thanks!" replies. Any posts not listing parts up for grabs will be removed. “
I’ve noticed some have deleted / removed some old posts for stuff that’s gone, thanks. I’ve just gone through and tidied up a few more because the thread was spilling over two pages and it seems better to avoid scrolling through too many entries.
If I’ve deleted something of yours, oops sorry. please just post it once more.
Thanks

Would anyone care to donate a tail lamp assembly with a lens?? I am designing LED lights and need them to mock these up. If all goes well, I will make a pair for whomever donates to this cause. This is the style I'm initially after. If all goes well, I could try the other styles too.
Thanks guys! |

Looking for a set of vent covers. Cant bring myself to pay $75+ dollars in the classifieds. Oh, and $999 on eBay Oh, nevermind. My buddy said people do that so they don't have to pay eBay for the fee to bring down the advertisement. The actual price on eBay is $22 each, which makes more sense than $75 a pair.

Xzener, I may have an extra set, but can't remember the condition. Let me dig them out and I'll let you know.
I'm looking for a decent reasonably priced (or free/trade) set of rear bumper bracket covers. If any available, let me know.

Thanks Jeff... Hope you can find them. Condition is no issue. A little sanding and painting goes a long way. |
