i have searched several threads on icv and i can not find any ohms measurements for the icv. does anyone have a good one they could test the resistance ? or is there a thread that i should look for? i measured mine and it measured 3.8 ohms. i measured the milliamps and they were around 150 - 220 mA, the pro manual says it should be around 450 mA . i replaced the icu and the same reading. wanted to test the icv for continuity and to ground to make sure it was at least ok from that spec. |

If it is humming, then assume it is good. |

Mine was humming and it was bad. I was parked out front of Van Cafe and swapped a ton of parts before I learned that a humming ICV can still fail. |

this i why i was wanting to check the resistance and check if icv was grounded. |

I had an idle issue recently, turned out to be a vacuum leak - but I removed, cleaned and tested my idle valve with a 12V power supply. Car battery would work.
After getting it nice and clean, I figured that if the valve was 'snappy' in its response that it was as functional as it ever was during my ownership. |

Ignorance is bliss.
It's amazing the difference a properly working ICV (and all the other components of your Digifant system) can have on your idle.
When it's all working right, it's butter smooth. |

the funny thing is that when i disconnect the icv and start the engine it starts a little hard and i have to push the gas pedal but it always starts and runs fine, a little rough until it warms up but then it drives fine and idles fine.
so i dont think i have a vacuum leak or intake air leak or it would show up with the icv disconnected. |

Yep! My temporary solution until I got a good ICV was just to leave mine unplugged.
I’m a stickler though and wanted it functioning even though it only lowered the idle a little bit. |
