Joe, that "beehive" sump looks pretty cool. I don't think I've ever seen one like that. What is it?

Hi Rob,

The round style sump was first introduced by Porsche for their "America Roadsters" that were made BEFORE the Porsche Speedsters.
The sump was primarily used for their "race" cars for increased oil capacity.
See this Pre-A 1500cc Porsche engine I built for an America Roadster car.
