A heater repair guy once told me Porsche parts places can build the pipe and supply the hose or build the hose. Although not the correct piece here is an example: https://www.stoddard.com/90111004103.html from this page: https://www.stoddard.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=fuel+line

Got the bus out of storage today.

Mounted the table under bench. Fits perfect and doesn't rattle. Very happy.

New side light lens printed. Very happy with this one.

Used a new filament. A clear PETG from Polymaker. looks great and prints nice. Light lens is clear but LED is warm so gives it a nice yellow look when on. Walls are one layer thick. The pattern is from the 15% gyroid infill and I quite like the effect. Didn't think it would look that good.

The lights have 4 levels of brightness. Each tap goes up a level and holding switch shuts it off so at night we can give it one press for dim light and press and hold to turn off.

Now printing second and eagerly waiting for dark to see how they look. :)

Love the sconces! Do you plan to offer them?

sgellis Mon May 03, 2021 5:59 pm

Second one in and got to see how they are at night. Love them. They do a good job of defusing the light but doesn't show well in the photos. On lowest they just have enough light to see.

Thanks and no. I could probably be convinced to print the lens though if someone wanted a pair. I will add the final drawings here encase anyone wants to try making some.

Printed some custom escutcheons. The wood door panels did not like to be spaced out at handle so made some thicker escutcheons. I didn't have good originals anyway. Also printed a thinner one for the rear door

Cream color is too light. I may try amber shellac on one to see what happens.

Actually I like the old look. Gives it a bit of contrast and look of age. I like the feel driving with it also so I will keep it like it is. The center came with the bus and I like the look so kept it even though I have the correct black one.

Damn thats a nice bus man. Good work.

I put two coats of amber shellac on the escutcheons. Improved them but think another coat may be better. I am planning to get some "wood" filament and will print some new ones and see if they are better

They look really nice! Did you carve them, or are they available from some seller?

Made them with a 3D printer. Front ones are a little thicker than original.
