I'm aware that there are a number of suppliers for the rear hood hinge covers for the Beetle Cabrio. These appear to be different in design (and VW part number) dependent on model year. I've got a '63 car which originally would have had hood covers made of wood & covered with head liner material.
Some of these suppliers offer a replacement made of wood, others plastic, but I want to know how they should be fixed to the car & so far I've have drawn a blank; does anyone out there know how they should be fitted ? Thanks. |

| Original covers were made of wood, then covered with same material as headliner. They are attached to the body via sheet metal screws |
