To all the experts out there; could anyone please tell me where is the best place to source a 'bump steer kit' and ANYTHING ELSE I MIGHT NEED to lower my 1968 912 Targa...please no 'purist' responses. It's my car, I worked hard for it and I can do what I want with it
Cheers and thank you in advance!

You can add some spacers under the steering rack to reduce bump steer. Those can be DIY hardware store items.

Get a a Bump Steer kit. They are not expensive. Try your local parts store or Pelican Parts.

to lower the car a bit, you actually do not need a bump steer kit, you just need to unscrew the torsion bar adjusters in the front, and in the rear reset the radius arms, (which is not a fun job). Very important to reset the radius arms to the same angle or the car will miss handle. Also put a level in the door jamb to make sure that the car is even

Bear in mind that after you lower the car you will need to do an alignment and corner balance. Many shops will do the lowering for minimal cost if they do the other work.

totally agree, right on the money, corner balancing is critically important after playing with the radius arms
