Love this!
Let me know if you need any 3D custom printed parts. ;-)
Also, what are you doing with the corduroy? I need just enough good material to redo my front armrests!
Cheers,

For posterity: "TAN CORDUROY" ≠ "GOOD MATERIAL"

I'm wrapping up this project after months of designing and building. The deadline for completion is May 1st.
What do you guys think?

Looks good. I like the use of the computer fan for the skylight. I had the same idea just haven't implemented it yet. I may copy part of your mounting system. I'd like more passive flow through the skylight when the fan is not on though. |

People's experiences I have read about the gasoline version is that they carbon up requiring more frequent cleaning of the burner element compared to the diesel which you can also run on kerosine for a cleaner burn. |

Really nice.
Is that a tambour door for the back closet? |

Great interior and very nice work.
not sure I like the cabinet beside the slider behind the pass seat.. (I don't in my 71bay)
but each person has their own preferred layout and functions..
I don't have experience in both fuels.
but I'd think a Diesel (from my experience) would soot pretty easily also.
and from what I've heard Kero isn't as universally available (economically) as I have it here in my region. ($3.50/gal)

One thought -- can you reach the handle for the sliding door from the inside? I ask because it looks rather tight along the side of the cabinet there, and I know it's a little tricky to reach in my buddy's 81 Adventurewagen. His daughter used to have to walk through between the seats and go out one of the front doors until she grew and her arms were long enough to reach. |

Thanks for posting the mock up renderings and the finished product. Pretty cool to see such in rapid succession. Nice execution of your ideas and nice finish on those pieces.
Like the flip-up solar as well. |

In the picture out the sliding door you can barely see both a Uniwerks upstairs power bank and door panel power port! Love them. |

Yes, thats a tambour door. There will be another one that slides left to right on the kitchen cabinet.

Yes, I can reach the slider door handle from the inside of the van. I took this into account when designing the cabinet and there is plenty of space to get your hand in there and pop it open.

The T6 California was a huge inspiration in this project! |

Incredible execution.
I may be interested in buying that fan setup if you have plans to make them..
This is the nicest interior I have seen. |

Yep, out of all of that, it was the tambour door that caught my eye. I’ve been thinking of one for my high top storage bay.
Does it vibrate and make noise while under way? That’s been one of my reservations.
Quite a beautiful build. Well done. |

Nice work. CNc router?
How do they fasten to the van?
Also dig the folding solar. Is that rigid enough to store stuff on it when folded down? |

No vibrations at all. Quite pricey, but I have 2 installed now and I love them!

I hate cool white LEDs, so I had to have warm. Heres the link:https://www.ebay.com/itm/5050-LED-Flexible-3M-Tape...2749.l2649 |

Did you have to make it or is there a supplier you used?
I want to use tambour doors and I have no problem making the side frames with tracks but would love a source for the door itself.
Edit, google was my friend. 'tambour door kit' turned up several suppliers. :D |
