Hi,
I need to replace the engine cover grills on my 73 Beetle - 1 long one at the top and 4 smaller ones below. I have bought, and received, new ones but can't seem to fit them properly.
There are small tabs that, I guess, are supposed to bend round behind the vent bars, but they are not long enough so the grills don't fit tightly.
Anyone changed these before and can give me any tips on fitting them, please?
The ones I took off appear to have been attached to some of the bars with tape, which had practically disintegrated over the years.

I assume you mean aftermarket chrome ones.
Aftermarket is the key word.
Send them back. |
