Funny though, I was just pulled over for it in my bus in Hopkington. He might have wanted to check out the bus, though. |

The Doormobile (or that's what I'll call it just for reference) is a nice looking bus for the money. It certainly looks like a custom, and that could be what's holding the price down. If it's not rusty and you're ok with a custom bus and not original it looks like a good deal. Don't expect it to appreciate like an original Westfalia though. |

I wanted a family camper for family trips and focused my effort on finding relatively rust free roller as priority and eventually found it cheap for 4K few years ago,I don’t do body work and like dints etc the bus was original paint as well which was not perfect but cool. Than i only had to do interior which took me 6 months bit by bit and had new 2l engine build, it was 76 model bus. All together probably 16k AUD total cost (no body work), we drove it all around australia with 2 kids and a dog on multiple trips, memories for life. When kids got bigger became too small and sold it with a good profit, no regrets as these cars are there to be driven. Be patient and one will come along , if you want one really experience is great but be aware of your limitations especially when budget is limited and there is body work to do,good luck man |

9500 miles on an new engine installed in 2015... Mot history looks good, and he's willing to put a new mot on before sale. Oh and delivery.
no, I wouldn't touch it, it has had a lot of body mods and will definitely have filler in it. there is no rear seam on the rear quarter. no fresh air vent up front which will have filler in it!! no pictures of underneath on the advert.
twin sliders are less 'roomy' due to layout in my opinion
when you go to look at one, take someone with you who knows what they are looking at and for. |

There will be in about 6 months of use, and it won't be pretty.
To the OP, if that one on Latebay is in your target price range, it would be better. If not, post up what you are looking to spend so that we can help you better narrow down the playing field. |
