CIP1 are the US BBT distributors. They’re selling just the frames or tents now. But the “just the poles” aren’t available till later this summer. “C21-6500” and “C21-6551”. Apparently free shipping. $300 +\- for poles isn’t bad

The poles are back in stock so I would buy a set to use until you find your missing OG poles.

thanks for the heads up on the poles being back in stock. I ordered up a set yesterday. Anyone have a source for a good red/white material to have a tent made?

If you just want the top part I would order one from Cip1 (made by BBT, the same people who make the poles). They have them in yellow/gray and orange/white and are nice quality.

The only person I know making full tents (minus the bathroom) is Wanderbus:

Never seen one personally but have heard they are a nice reproduction.

pulled out the speedo to send off for repair. happy to see the 1/61 date stamp

broken drivers side rear wood panel has been replaced.

sisal mat arrived and so did the Emka tumblers. I had to put the table in just to see how everything looks. very happy.
Had to pull out the rear jump seat to clean. Check out the before and after

the OG material was hiding under the red vinyl. Took apart the seat from the frame to clean it and lube the rails so it will slide better. All in all, it was a productive Saturday.

Can't believe how nice that original upholstery is, what a score!

I have to admit, I kinda like the ribbed red vinyl. But the original stuff is way better. Nice find under there!

The previous owner found this picture from back in the 80's. gold rattle can paint and the original safaris before someone stole them from the bus in the barn.

a few recent pictures from this past weekend. We took the bus out camping for the first time since 1997.

What was the original power plant? Was that the famous bastard 40 HP?

The motor that was in it was not the original. It now has a 1776 built by Painter's in Colorado.
