Folks,
I need to add the ground strap to my 1962 Ghia. The current 12v motor had the battery grounded to the gen. stand. But, now with the battery under the rear seat I want to return to the chassis ground.
I looked last night at the tranny nose cone and it wasn't obvious which nuts/studs you put the strap to.....
TIA,

Sorry, no picture but there is usually a bolt to the left of the transmission nose cone mount or it is mounted directly to a transmission nose cone stud/nut.
The other end goes to one of the nosecone bolts 1/2 way up the side, usually on the left hand side of the car again. (Driver's side for a left hand drive car)
You really should torque the nosecone nut back to the proper torque too which, if I remember correctly, is 11 ft. lbs. |
