My Kombi is now on the verge of having its first ever paint applied...
We have a few outstanding issues to resolve beforehand though.
1. Should the seam above the decklid be welded, and should the screws be painted the body colour (i.e.: fit first)?
2. Presumably the engine rubber seal rail should be one continuous section, as with later buses?
3. The handbrake has been erroneously straightened. I'm in need of some photos of the base and the correct lean angle for it, please.
Thanks for bearing with what are undoubtedly trivial questions. We're trying to get her as close as is possible to how she would've left the factory. |

Do you perhaps have a photo showing the base of the handbrake, please? Like most of the rest of my bus, there was a fair bit of damage underneath, so we'd like to get an accurate idea of where to introduce the bend and what exactly it should look like below the floor.
Can anyone else assist with the angle, please? |
