Howdy! Long time lurker but I finally broke down and made an account today. I have a Houston Southwest dealer plate on my bus. And as a side project I'm researching the dealership just for fun. If anyone here knows anything about it or has photos/paperwork I'd be very interested to hear about it.

Thanks y'all!

To date other than this chart posted above and an address, I've found absolutely zilch on this dealership. It's like it never existed.

you think it might be archer before it was archer? late 60's seems about right (way before my time here)

I'm genuinely unsure. I found that the dealership used to be at the SE corner of Hillcroft and Harwin and shows up (according to the chart here) in the late 60s. Other than that and the occasional plate frame there's just nothing. No ads no paperwork nothing at all. There's a dealer in Dallas with the same name that I checked into. They aren't affiliated. Like I said it's like it never existed.

They misspelled “busses”

Long overdue update/discovery

Houston southwest Volkswagen was purchased in 1987 by south point Volkswagen. Which later became archer Volkswagen.

I guess that makes this old plate frame slightly rarer than others?
