As Glenn noted....look at the suspension points and chassis seams. If they are intact.....but if you ONLY have a little rocker and relay panel welding to do...but little else.....and the body panels are intact....meaning that rust around the edges of the fenders has not gone through.....and if for the most part all of the major parts are there.......$1000 is not a bad deal at all.
If however suspension points are rotted and its full of dents and missing big parts....its just a $500 parts car as noted. Dont be too quick to pass without inspection. If you dont do much of your own work.....and are looking for an easy 914 to get into (just paint, parts swapping and engine).....the cost of one at that level is getting prohibitive.
Not far down the line.....cars in this condition will be all you can get. Ray |

Unfortunately, here in Atlanta area everything sells for a premium and has several buyers waiting in line to start a bidding war.
The guy wouldnt budge on price and already has 3 people in front of me to look at it... so my interest in it has evaporated.
If he offered to negotiate, i might have been interested... but im not getting into a bidding war over it. lol |

we usually buy all of the reasonable 914 parts cars in the local area, and this one is truly a parts car. 500 is a fair price for it |
