| I have a 1.8t swap in my Vanagon. The motor is mounted at 50 degree. Will the stock dip stick read correctly or will it be off and read low from the slant of the oil pan/stick position. |

You need a different dipstick setup to match the different pan, pickup, engine angle.
Stock diesel stuff uses about 4 quarts min, 5 quarts max.
