For those interested in buying a black/ivory Hebmuller 1950 in the Netherlands check the add on Catawiki posted I think on 12 August. Only a couple of hours left before auction ends. Reserve price not reached yet. Current offer 240K€ (amazing!) Good luck! I am not promoting the add, just sharing the info with Hebmuller aficionados on The Samba.

Beside that the price is worth to be discussed.
To even think of that price range, the car would have to be beyond perfection.
But after a quick look through the pics, I need more than one hands fingers to count the wrong parts.

Was this the one for sale at BC? If so, it was pretty awful. I cannot imagine asking for that amount of money for a car with Oval semaphores, bent bumpers, stained upholstery, loads of incorrect parts and tons of bondo.....

The license 14-AD-92 belongs to a 1973 Beetle.

When you look closer at the quoted picture you will see a trailer hitch lying on the ground and that also explains the triangle reflectors and the taped off original license plate JG-39-70.

The obscure detective skills that lurk around here sometimes...

David towed the Heb back home, the plate on the heb is a reproduction to tow it.

Some other bugs david has collected over the years.
I bought the green deluxe split, ther was also a 51standard infront of the deluxe split. (not realy visible on this photo)

You are absolutly right. That car is a joke.
Also the upholstery work was compleate shit.
I am wondering who was stupid enough to pay so much money for it.

I met him in Mannheim, he told me that i have talked bad about that car. I haven´t. I only wrote that i am wondering how long will it be for sale in the internet.
Now i will be very helpful for everyone who ask me about the quality of that car......
