I had to have a major top end rebuild on my 2054 cc Thingster, after the fire.
It has the fancy CB performance heads, and adam put on new pistons and barrels as it made sense to do it while it was all apart.
It was filled with Brad Penn break-in oil and I was told to do 700 miles and then change the oil & check the valves.
So I saw a posting by the Rv Scott about his new military Thing, so I took a drive to Boonville, about 80 miles each way. It was really good after I left the freeway, lots of up and down in zigzag roads, much gear shifting and engine braking.
We met a the Booneville brewery and had a sandwich and some very tasty porter/stout.
I also bought his old top as I think I will put it on the white 74 I have and try to sell it.
