Last Friday I traded my Pre-A replica for this 912 -69 project..
It had some rear end damage from the shipping to Europe.
Started with working on the rear corners just to see if they were salvagable instead of replacing. Seems to be possible to save original metal...

pretty great trade, that is the BEST year for the 912, and any time you can trade a replica for a real car you are winning |

In the 68/ 69 912s there is NO free play in clutch peddle. The Throw out bearing is to run against the pressure plate all the time so replace whenever you pull the motor for clutch work. |

Today I got a package with free used taillighthousings. These will help me finish the corners to correct shape. Pretty happy with the rough work so far too.. :)

So what's the plan? Are you going to update it to look like a mid 70s model or maybe an RS? |

please keep in mind that that car is worth a ton of money in stock form, vs modified. All of that good work can make for a very valuab le car |

Not excatly. This is not a matching number 911. Just a pretty empty
912 rolling shell that would cost a fortune to bring back to original spec.
This is a perfect canvas for my plans.  |

really great work you are doing. 69 is the most valuable of all of the 912 models |
