Hello. We are new to the VW Bus world and are seeking ideas on how to hang curtains without drilling into the headliner. If you have any tips, we would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Nice bus, and welcome! I wouldn't want to drill into that headliner either.
Consider Neodymium magnets attached to the ends of curtain rods. As long as your curtains aren't WAY too heavy, they should work fine. Then just remove the rods and stash them under the seats or something while driving.
One client of mine even made little hooks for the handles on the left ceiling, and hung a removable curtain rod from those.
You SHOULD have little white (yellowed and brittle?) coat hooks on the B and C pillars… You could remove them, use a spacer and attach your curtain rods to the coat hook holes, then swap back after a camping trip with no trace.
Good luck!

Definitely use the handles and / or the handle mounts.
Make a little sheet metal J shaped bracket. Unscrew the handle, put a little J bracket under the handle to hold the curtain rod, paint it flat black so it blends in.
No new holes in the bus.
Good luck!

I was pleased with the magnets I got from these guys (no connection with me). Handy to have around a bus for lots of stuff... Bug screens on the front windows for one..

I tried drilling into my headliner on a previous bus and it ended very poorly.. the stuffing wrapped around the bit and made a big old rip. Don't do it.
As suggested by those above, try some combination of handles and magnets.
Nice bus! |

I've had luck with using drills and hole saws on vinyl by using the same method you'd use for tile: painters tape. Lay painters tape all over where you want to cut/drill and it keeps it from wrapping and getting too destroyed.
I have had 0 luck finding good curtain rails, so I like that magnet idea. |

I got a 70 without the handles. I went with magnets attached to the fabric where they would get good connection. Not permanent, Not "show quality" but they work when we need some curtains.
I will try to get a pic this evening. |

Hello,
Suction cups with hooks for the rods?? on the windows. Hardware store item..
Reason being, That is a nice "White" headliner and I would like to keep it that way, if mine. Yet, you guys haven't seen my hands.... |

I have a stack of hard drive magnets I use in my deluxe. no need for rods/cables etc. put the curtain up and snap a magnet on.
magnets hang out under the seat with the curtains all folded up. |

the Z-Products sets if you can find one go under the clothes hanger buttons for most of them. You can use magnets on the rest. |

Thank you everyone for the feedback. I think we're going to give the magnets a go for starters. I'll post pics if they do, or even don't, work out.
Such helpful people - seems like a great group to be apart of! :D |

Yup, I was thinking something like this. I suppose you could sew the magnets into the curtain, then all you have to do is stick the corners to the Bus. |
