Rubber straps? Chrome ends? I've never seen this before.
Are these really for a VW, let alone a Barndoor Deluxe? |

| I cannot answer the question, but I do know that similar parts were used on other German vehicles. f.e. the Ford Fk 1000 uses the same bolt pattern on these check strap loops. the Ford pieces (not sure if they are GHE) look nearly identical to the VW loops and would interchange. the straps and chrome parts could also be from any other German brand upscale model like Mercedes, BMW, Borgward, Porsche... |

Good point, I'm not sure how those would bend as freely as the fabric straps given how thick they look |

These rubber straps are not VW.
Usually found on old lorrys, trucks and bigger buses.
A common "universal" part in Germany. |
